Wedding Fashion - JCrew Bridal
I love to support British and we have some amazing designers out there producing stunning wedding dresses and bridal fashion. We also have some really fantastic innovative stores like www.kittyanddulcie.com who are producing some fantastic fashion forward bridal looks for those on more of a budget.
However sometimes for some really on line trend setting wedding looks without breaking the bank you really can't beat some of the American websites. My favourite in the past has always been www.bhldn.com .. its fantastic for inspiration and some of the dresses (even with shipping) are really reasonable. They also do blow the budget dresses by the way and plenty of lovely reception decor.
However I'm now just a bit in love with another American company J Crew. www.jcrew.com/wedding who have recently branched out into the wedding market and have quite a few dresses that are well under £1000 even once you've added on shipping and taxes. ( Obviously you must also bear in mind that you may need to pay for any alterations with a seamstress here if you lose weight etc before the wedding!).
They also have some beautiful bridesmaids dresses and Mother of the Bride collection.
Here's just some of my favourites from the site.

Travel Themed Save the Date Cards
Hello all .. welcome to a new week here on the Knots & Kisses blog!
Hopefully after all the mad business of last week I'll be back to more regular posting this week!
I've been working all weekend on some rather exciting stationery for three photo shoots which I've been asked to design something for, so looking forward to sharing these with you in the future :)
Today I want to share some Save the Date cards I recently sent out for a lovely couple who are getting married in Turkey next year. (Obviously I've blurred out the couples actual details.)
If you would like me to come up with a bespoke design like this for your destination wedding then please don't hesitate to get in touch via the website at http://knotsandkisses.co.uk or email info@knotsandkisses.co.uk

Weekly Wedding Inspiration - Beautiful Dresses!
Gosh I can't believe its Friday already! After the Fabulous Wedding Festival last weekend its been a mental week here at Knots & Kisses making samples, finishing stationery orders and working on a new stationery design which I'm rather excited about! I'll also be spending some of this weekend working on some bespoke stationery which I'm providing for some amazing sounding photo shoots which I'll hopefully be able to share with you in the future :)
Friday generally sees a little weekly round up of my favourite Wedding things I've seen out and about on the Internet this week ...
... and the main thing I have been delighted to come across is a new collection of beautiful evening wear dresses that the V&A museum has done in collaboration with high street retailer Coast! These stunning dresses have been inspired by dresses in the V&A's collection and would be perfect as an alternative wedding dress or for very glamorous Bridesmaids! www.coast-stores.com ... I'd get in quick though as they seem to be selling out fast!

More Pictures of Fabulous Wedding Festival!
Carrying on from yesterday's post, today I wanted to share with you more images from the Fabulous Wedding Festival that I exhibited at on Saturday at Muddifords Court in Devon.
The Tipi tent that I was exhibiting in was full to the brim with lots of fantastic wedding suppliers and was pretty much always busy throughout the day.
The lovely Jessie Thomson www.jessiethomson.co.uk had a very busy stand all day and lots of fantastic props to play with ...
Nat from Jolly Good Wedding www.jollygoodwedding.co.uk also had a table in the Tipi which was styled beautifully with thick log cut place settings ...
Further on from that there were photographers exhibiting in their own little tent and of course the big top, which hosted the music and catwalk shows as well as some more great suppliers.

Lots more to be found in the tent aswell ...

There were lots of fantastic things outside as well .. including a brilliant food and drinks area with lots of fab vintage vans and caravans clustered around a fire providing food and drink all day. (The wood fired pizzas from Pizza Monkey were amazing!).Further on from that there were photographers exhibiting in their own little tent and of course the big top, which hosted the music and catwalk shows as well as some more great suppliers.

A Fabulous Weekend at The Wedding Festival!
Hope you've all had a fantastic weekend! I have to say I'm pretty exhausted but had a brilliant time at the first 'Fabulous Wedding Festival' hosted at Muddifords Court in Devon on Saturday.
I met some fantastic couples looking for wedding stationery and also some other lovely suppliers which made for a fantastic day even though the weather really didn't play ball! There were quite a few of us who were huddled around the fire pit in the Tipi tent later on in the afternoon :)
My fantastic other half was helping me out on the day and went round and took as many photos as possible so I could share with you.
Even without blue skies the festival site looked fantastically colourful with the banners, big top tent and the tipi tent sent up ...

I had my stand set up in the Tipi tent, supplied by World Inspired Tents, managing to get a spot right next to the fire, which was lovely later! Thanks to the lovely Julie at The Flower Consultant in Okehampton www.flowerconsultant.co.uk for the gorgeous jug of flowers she provided for my stand.
I also provided stationery for the Shippen Barn, which was laid out with tables dressed ready for a wedding reception and later hosted a sit down 3 course meal.
The tables looked fantastic ... especially as each stylist had gone for such a different theme! I designed stationery for the 'Colourful Kitsch' & 'Romantic Blue' Tables by Devon Vintage China www.devonvintagechina.co.uk below ...
And also for the 'Kama' Bollywood Inspired Table by Jolly Good Wedding www.jollygoodwedding.com ...
The barn also had some amazing styled tables from Inspire Hire http://www.inspire-hire.co.uk/ .. creating a gorgeous Cherry theme and A Mad Hatters Dinner Party Table, and a stunning Bohemian Dreaming table from Jessie Thomson www.jessiethomson.co.uk with some fantastic homemade dream catchers!
I also made the table plan for the Banquet area which we mounted onto an old barn door.
I'll be sharing even more photos and some of the great suppliers who were exhibiting with me in the Tipi tent on tomorrow's blog so make sure you check back!
A massive thank you to Becky and Helen from Fabulous Wedding Festival for organising such a great event!

Winter Wedding Stationery & Inspiration
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend ... I was doing more work on my stand for the 'Fabulous Wedding Festival' which I'll be exhibiting at this Saturday at Muddifords Court in Devon ... I look forward to meeting some of you in person!
Today I wanted to share with you a version of my Sketch range of stationery which I created for a lovely couple recently who are getting married in Finland next year! The Bride is Finnish and rather than one of the standard motifs which come with the Sketch range wanted a snowflake motif to match their Winter Wedding theme, and also a darker grey background to match the beautiful bridesmaids dresses she had chosen.

To go with this beautiful winter wedding theme I've created a moodboard full of lots of ideas for a very subtle Winter Wedding theme. Its very easy with Winter or Christmas themes to go a bit overboard and it become a bit tacky but by adding in subtle shades of grey and taupe it gives the whole thing a much more sophisticated look. I particularly love the vaguely snowflake looking headband and the stunningly glamorous dress from BHLDN.

A Wonderland Wedding!
It's been a really good week for receiving fantastic feedback from my clients this week, and I was especially pleased to receive the following email from the lovely Lorna & John who I've been working with for about a year now .. and returned from their honeymoon this week.
"We are now back from honeymoon and wanted to confirm receipt of the Thank You cards which arrived yesterday – they look lovely.
We had just the perfect wedding day and New Zealand didn’t let us down. What a fantastic place!
A final thank you for everything you have done for us – you made everything so easy and uncomplicated. I attach a couple of photos which I hope you will enjoy. We had lots of comments on your stationery (how unusual and attractive) that you should be very proud and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you to any of our friends or family in the future, as you provided such an excellent service."
I was so pleased that they also included some photos of the stationery I made for them in situe, as its so lovely to see this!
Congratulations to Lorna & John! If you would like to order the Wonderland range for your wedding then please get in touch at http://knotsandkisses.co.uk

Alternatives to Marquees For Your Wedding
As many of you may know I'm exhibiting at the Fabulous Wedding Festival on the 16th March at Muddifords Court in Devon http://www.fabulouswedfest.co.uk/main/
One of the things I'm really excited about is the fact I'll be exhibiting in a Tipi tent rather than a traditional room or marquee! I absolutely love alternatives to traditional marquees for weddings and so today I wanted to share with you some of the options you can have.
Tipi Tents
These Giant Hat Tipi tents from http://www.worldinspiredtents.co.uk who will be providing the tents for the wedding festival are fantastic! You can have one or various different sizes grouped together and they make a wonderful alternative to a marquee and you can have a fire pit inside!
Bell Tents
Not strictly speaking for the main reception, but I love the idea of having a 'tented village' from http://www.bellabode.co.uk for some of your guests to 'glamp' in .. or just a couple of the tents as a chill out area for guests during the reception.

Yurts
Instead of Tipis why not have a collection of Yurts from http://www.hooesyurts.co.uk . Again these can be linked together to form one large space and you can even have a Bridal Yurt for you to get ready in and spend your first night as husband and wife! Plus they are stunningly beautiful inside!
Circus Tents
And finally if you want a really fun atmosphere to your wedding why not hire a Big Top or circus tent! There are lots of companies out there who hire out their circus tents for weddings ... and you could consider hiring coconut shys and hook a ducks aswell!
This small 'top' from http://www.bigtopbijou.co.uk is just one of the many I found.
