Art Deco Vintage Train Travel Wedding Reception Stationery

Last week one of my bespoke couples Laura & Matthew got married in a Vintage Travel and Art Deco themed wedding day. I had the great pleasure of designing their wedding reception stationery which was fantastic fun as they really allowed me to run with the theme.
You can see their wedding invitations which I designed earlier in the year here http://knotsandkisses.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/vintage-railway-art-deco-wedding.html

For their wedding I designed placecards and order of service and also some bespoke signs for their Order of Day and Guest Book to match in with the theme.
My favourite element of their reception stationery though was the bespoke table plan which Laura wanted to have the feel of an arrivals board and also incorporate images of the vintage postcards which they were using for their table names.

Art Deco Inspired Weddings and Interiors

Wow this week has gone quickly!
As well as launching my Zazzle homewares shop on Monday ... I've had lots of design work to do this week. Its getting to that time of year when couples are really starting to think about their stationery for their weddings next year so I've had lots of bespoke enquiries which means lots of designing which is the best bit and really exciting.
One of the orders I've been working on this week has an Art Deco feel with hints of black and gold so I thought I'd share some of my favourite Art Deco inspiration to round the week up ...
I love the Deco period in both weddings and interiors so I've included both here ...

Bespoke Art Deco Movie Poster Style Wedding Table Plan

I've had quite a few enquiries recently about my Bespoke 'Art Deco Film Poster' style table plan.
I'll be working on an order for a December wedding this week and I think it proves ever popular because so many people love the glamour of that era and want to incorporate it into their wedding.
Plus I also hand draw bespoke caricatures of the couple dancing so it really is very personalised to them.
So I though I'd re-share the plan with you for any of you who are thinking about this style for your wedding ... just get in touch by emailing me at info@knotsandkisses.co.uk if you would like to enquire about ordering the plan yourself or visit the website for more options http://knotsandkisses.co.uk

Introducing New Wedding Stationery Range - Deco Glamour

I hope you all managed to catch the blog post this morning introducing the new website design and all the new items I've introduced to the website. http://knotsandkisses.co.uk
This afternoon I want to introduce you to the first of the new ranges of wedding stationery I have launched to add to my collections for 2014 ... 'Deco Glamour'.

Deco is still such a popular look for people ... especially at their weddings. I really wanted to incorporate a Deco look into my Wedding Stationery Collections. I’ve been meaning to for quite some time … but never quite came up with a design that I felt was right.

It just seemed to click when I started working on the new Deco Glamour range. I felt a stylish flat A5 design worked best to showcase the graphic lines of the deco period. A touch of gold and deco motifs are inspired by the glamour of the roaring twenties and would be perfect for a stylish hotel wedding.

Deco Glamour is available as a A5 flat or postcard style invitation, with a full matching range of reception stationery … including my new range of Guest Books and ‘Ready to Write’ Blank Invitation Packs.

To go with the new range, as always, I've created a matching moodboard to give you inspiration as to how to style this look for your wedding. The Deco look is all about glitz and glamour .. so plenty of moody dark colours mixed with gold and cream satin work perfectly. Accessories are a must so hair combs to pin back loose curls look great.

Movie Themed Art Deco Wedding Inspiration

Hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday weekend!
If you were reading the blog last Monday you will have seen me feature the Purple Art Deco Movie Themed Table Plan which I created for Kerri who got married on the 18th of May.
Today I wanted to share with you a wedding inspiration mood board to match this design. The colour scheme was dark purples and bronzes with some black and white ... and with a real old Hollywood movie theatre feel.
Great ideas to style this wedding would be old film reels, large neon letters and clapper boards and I love the idea of an old warehouse brick background for the reception with slinky art deco style dresses ...

And here's a reminder of the table plan design I created ...

An Art Deco Movie Themed Wedding!

Welcome to another new week here on the Knots & Kisses blog ... I can't believe how quickly 2013 is racing along! Its already Chelsea Flower Show week and although I can't describe myself as massively green fingered I try my best with my garden and love watching Chelsea for all the beautiful floral inspiration ... flowers often influence my stationery work so I can class it as research right!??

Back to today and I'm delighted to share with you some bespoke reception stationery I designed for the lovely Kerri & Mike who got married this weekend and had a Movie Themed Art Deco style wedding. As opposed to the usual black ivory and grey colour combinations usually associated with art deco Kerri & Mike wanted to go with a deep purple and bronze colour combination.

Here is the table plan I came up with .. if you would like me to come up with a similar bespoke design for your wedding then please don't hesitate to get in touch at http://knotsandkisses.co.uk ...

Weekly Wedding Inspiration - Beautiful Dresses!

Gosh I can't believe its Friday already! After the Fabulous Wedding Festival last weekend its been a mental week here at Knots & Kisses making samples, finishing stationery orders and working on a new stationery design which I'm rather excited about! I'll also be spending some of this weekend working on some bespoke stationery which I'm providing for some amazing sounding photo shoots which I'll hopefully be able to share with you in the future :)

Friday generally sees a little weekly round up of my favourite Wedding things I've seen out and about on the Internet this week ...

... and the main thing I have been delighted to come across is a new collection of beautiful evening wear dresses that the V&A museum has done in collaboration with high street retailer Coast! These stunning dresses have been inspired by dresses in the V&A's collection and would be perfect as an alternative wedding dress or for very glamorous Bridesmaids! www.coast-stores.com ... I'd get in quick though as they seem to be selling out fast!
