Classic & Elegant Save the Date Cards

I hope you all had a lovely time over New year ... and congratulations to any of you who may have got engaged over the holidays!
You may well be starting to think of sending Save the Date cards out ... and today I have some very special Save the Date cards to share with you.

Last year two of my best friends got engaged and asked me to design their wedding stationery for them. I was so excited but also incredibly apprehensive about designing stationery for people I knew incredibly well!
We decided to go for neutral colours with a hint of shimmer and a heavy weight textured card, as a colour scheme hadn't yet been finalised. My friends wanted a design that was very personal to them and so I incorporated a monogram motif using their initials, and also a bespoke sketch of part of their gorgeous venue.
To make it a bit more unusual I used a pocket format so guests pulled the wording card out using ribbon.

If you are looking for a bespoke design for your Save the Date cards or wedding invitations please don't hesitate to get in touch at info@knotsandkisses.co.uk or have a look at the bespoke page on my website http://www.knotsandkisses.co.uk/bespokestationery.html .

And here are some styling ideas if you too are going for a classic neutral scheme for your wedding.

Wedding Stationery : A Perfect Place Save the Date Card

Today I want to share with you some Save the Date cards I did recently in my 'Perfect Place' range of wedding stationery. http://www.knotsandkisses.co.uk/aperfectplacecollection.html
Perfect Place is one of the new designs I launched along with the new website back in October and since its launch it has been really popular! I think one of the main reasons is that the design incorporates a personal element .. a bespoke sketch of your venue, the place you met or any location which means something to you. Clients seem to love this bespoke element.

One of the clients who requested the Perfect Place range was Leanne who has had the range for her Save the Date cards, with a sketch of the venue they will be getting married in.

I thought it would be nice for you to see the range with a different bespoke sketch so you can see how the range varies depending on the style of venue and sketch you choose.

Pretty, Pale & Interesting Wedding Style

Its been a busy week here at Knots & Kisses .. its definitely getting to that time of year when lots of enquiries for stationery for next Spring and Summers weddings starts flooding in ... so I've had lots of samples to package up and send. My new party invitations and occasion stationery packs http://www.knotsandkisses.co.uk/occasionsstationery.html are also doing well so there will be a few Christening and Baby Shower invitations winging there way in the post too :)

This week I've found myself thinking about a bespoke design I will be creating in the next few weeks for a client and working with a theme of really pretty neutrals.
So here is some of the inspiration I've been looking at which may hopefully inspire your wedding plans ...

I particularly love the elegant informal bridal hairstyle and the vintage 'lounge' set up outdoors for your guests ...

Introducing A New Range Of Wedding Stationery - Perfect Place

Hopefully you caught this mornings blog post and saw the new Snow Queen range of Wedding Stationery. This afternoon I'm featuring the third of the new Wedding Stationery range called 'Perfect Place'. http://knotsandkisses.co.uk

Perfect Place was inspired by a bespoke design for a client who contacted me wanting a sketch of her beautiful lakeside venue incorporating into her wedding stationery. I absolutely love sketching out anything bespoke to incorporate into clients invitations so was delighted to do this. I came up with quite a clean modern look for the stationery which used quite strong typography and  a ‘monogram’ motif of the clients initials.

It got me to thinking how lovely it would be to have a standard range on the website where I could draw an image of a place that was special to each client to incorporate into the stationery. This could be the place you met, your wedding venue, where you proposed … anything that means something to you as a couple. I will hand draw the venue and then this is used as a motif throughout your stationery.
With the neutral colours and classic style I think ‘Perfect Place’ could suit a lot of wedding schemes.

Available as a folded square, pocketfold or postcard style invitation, with a full matching range of reception stationery … including my new range of Guest Books and Simply KandK Blank Invitation Packs.
To match a classic black and ivory moodboard ...

Tomorrow I'll be featuring the last of the new wedding stationery ranges, Tropical Travel, and also my brand new collection of Occasion Stationery and Party Invitations!

Classic Reception Stationery With Sketches of The Wedding Venue

Hello all ... I hope you all had a good weekend .. it was a jam packed one for me finishing an order of reception stationery.
Talking about reception stationery ... I'd like to share with you today the reception stationery I designed to match invitations I created for Evelyn & Simon earlier in the year.
The brief was for the stationery to be classic and neutral and to incorporate a sketch of their beautiful lakeside wedding venue in Ireland.

Here is the stationery I designed including placecards and table names .. and also a header and table plan cards which they could pin to a board or display themselves rather than having a large set table plan board.

As I mentioned the stationery was designed to match a invitation set I designed for the couple earlier in the year which I've shown below. If you would like a similar design for your wedding, including a bespoke sketch of your venue by me, please don't hesitate to get in touch via the contact page on the website at http://knotsandkisses.co.uk

And here's a wedding moodboard to match ...

Wedding Styling Moodboard : Strong Typography And Modern Neutrals

If you were reading the blog yesterday you will have seen the Modern Neutral Wedding Stationery Postcards I created for Evelyn & Simon's Wedding, which included a bespoke sketch of their venue and some gorgeous black and neutral coloured typography.
Here is a moodboard I've created for this modern neutral colourscheme to help you style your wedding.
Strong typography and subtle colours create a modern look but with just subtle vintage elements.

Weekly Wedding Inspiration - Soft Muted Tones

I'm a sucker for trawling through Pinterest every week .. you can follow me at http://pinterest.com/knotsandkisses ... and am always finding beautiful colour palettes or fantastic wedding ideas to share with you here on the blog.

After spending most of last week looking at bright fun colours for my two new wedding stationery ranges .. this week I've been attracted to a more neutral colour palette.
Beautiful soft and muted tones of pale greys, blush pinks and soft ivories make a wedding look incredibly classic yet still modern and are perfect for all seasons of wedding, looking as equally at home with a beautiful summer garden wedding as they would do in a glamorous winter wedding!
I'm actually working on quite a neutral colour palette of stationery this week for a client so hopefully will be able to share that with you soon :)

Here are a few of my favourite inspirations from the week ....
