Vintage Railway Art Deco Wedding Invitations

Sometimes you get a brief from a client for bespoke stationery which really challenges your design skills and gets you excited to come up with designs. The stationery that I was commissioned by Laura & Matthew to create was definitely one of these occasions.
Living in York they wanted to combined a love of Art Deco with a Vintage Train Travel theme.
The design I cam up with combined art deco motifs along with a ticket style invitation inserted into a 'Vintage Railway Poster' style wallet.
I love the finished effect and can't wait to design the matching reception stationery!

The envelopes also came with a matching pre-addressed envelope so they could be posted straight to their guests with very little effort. This service is available with all of my stationery designs.

Laura & Matthew booked a full design package with me http://knotsandkisses.co.uk/bespokestationery.html which included complimentary guest address labels and these invitations were the second part of the design process which started with these matching Save the Dates which I designed last year.

Bespoke Travel Inspired Luggage Tag Save the Date Cards

I always love sharing bespoke designs I have created for clients, so I'm really pleased to share with you today some bespoke work I did recently for the lovely Hayley & Glen who are getting married in Santorini next year.
They wanted to keep a elegant and neutral style with just a few rustic touches but have a travel theme to echo their wedding plans abroad. I worked to change elements of my vintage travel range into a more neutral colour palette and added a brown Kraft envelope and sting ties for the rustic touches. All finished off with a bespoke map print envelope liner of the area around the Greek islands.

Vintage Travel Wedding Stationery And Styling Ideas

Its been so busy here at Knots & Kisses last week I decided to take a little bit of a break from the blog ... only for a few days but I've now definitely back in the zone and wanting to share with you lots of gorgeous wedding products and stationery.
On that note I always love to hear from fellow wedding professionals ... especially small businesses ... and photographers, with gorgeous wedding products that my readers might be interested in or fantastic real weddings which they would like to showcase! Just get in touch at info@knotsandkisses.co.uk :)

Last week I was working on an order of my Vintage Travel range, amongst other things, and as Vintage travel had a little revamp at the same time as the website was updated and I refreshed everything else I though I'd share it with you today.

Vintage Travel has definitely been one of my more popular ranges since launching it. Designed to evoke old postcards, stamps and luggage labels ... it now comes with matching envelope liners in a contrasting map print and address labels. You can also order a full range of matching reception stationery ... including my new guest books ... and, if you're in a hurry or on a tight budget, 'ready to write' invitation packs.

To go with the Vintage Travel range here are some styling ideas for your wedding ...

Introducing A New Range of Wedding Stationery - Tropical Travel

I hope you're enjoying seeing all the new things and collections which are being launched on the new look Knots And Kisses website this week. http://knotsandkisses.co.uk

This morning I am featuring the last of the four new Wedding Stationery ranges that I have launched to coincide with the new website.
This one is called Tropical Travel.

I am often asked to design wedding stationery for clients who are getting married abroad. I already have my Vintage Travel range … but with that having more of a colonial feel, I wanted to come up with something which would be appeal to those clients who wanted a more colourful, tropical theme.

I was inspired by my travels to Thailand & Australia and so went for brightly coloured flowers and a contrasting map print mixed with dark woods and printed leather ties. The bright pink printed luggage tags add a fun element and make the design very easy to personalise.

Available as a folded square, pocketfold or postcard style invitation, with a full matching range of reception stationery … including my new range of Guest Books and Simply KandK Blank Invitation Packs.

This design was inspired by a bespoke design I created for a recent client so I am using the moodboard I created for it as an illustration on how to get the Tropical Travel look.

Although that is the last of the new Wedding Stationery ranges I have launched this week, there is still plenty more to come! Later this afternoon I'll be sharing the brand new Occasion Stationery and Party Invitations I have designed so be sure to check back later.

Tropical Travel Inspired Bespoke Wedding Stationery

Hope you're all enjoying a fabulous bank holiday weekend! We're still on holiday here at Knots & Kisses but I wanted to line up a cracking post for you whilst I'm away!

I recently designed a bespoke wedding invitation suite for lovely couple Nicole & Adam who are getting married in Thailand next year. They wanted a fun and colourful travel inspired stationery set. We came up with several different designs and they ended up going for a different print which I'll share with you soon.
However I really loved the design below which I came up with along the way and wanted to share with you.
I love the mix of the florals with the brightly coloured map print.
If you would like a bespoke design for your wedding please don't hesitate to get in touch via the website http://knotsandkisses.co.uk

Check back on the blog on Wednesday for more about this stationery and some styling ideas to match.

Vintage Travel Wedding Inspiration

I hope you all loved the launch of my new range of Wedding Stationery 'Vintage Travel' which launched on the blog and website yesterday. If you didn't see it you can see some of it below and find the whole of the new range on the website http://knotsandkisses.co.uk .

Following on from the launch I wanted to share with you some of the styling ideas I've put together to give you some Vintage Travel wedding inspiration for your own big day!
Obviously vintage suitcases are a great styling prop for a travel inspired wedding ... you could also use vintage maps as bunting and use photos of your favourite destinations on each table.
The moodboard I've put together uses these elements plus a gorgeous mix of browns, creams and lace to give that real vintage feel. Rather than using bright reds and blues from the airmail motif I've used rust reds and dusky blues, just as I've done with the stationery range. I think it gives it a softer more vintage feel.
