Mint And Pale Pink Ombre Wedding Inspiration

Hope you liked the first of my new Spring Collections of wedding stationery 'Ombre' this morning.
This afternoon to match the new range I have created a wedding moodboard as inspiration for how to style this stationery.
I automatically when designing the range saw it going really well with lots of gorgeous gold glitter and sequins and a dip dye wedding dress ( a bit extreme for some I know .. but definitely fun, and you can find some gorgeous very subtly pale dip dye dresses out there as well.)

A Vintage Industrial Wedding Scheme

Often trends in weddings filter over from other areas of design ... specifically fashion & interiors. One of the biggest trends in interiors at the moment is 'Vintage Industrial' .. so I wanted to look at how you could incorporate this look into your Wedding Scheme.

I love anything for my home at the moment that gives Vintage a bit of an edge .. and stops it being too pastel 'shabby chic' ... a term that's overused to the extreme at the moment as far as I'm concerned!

To adapt this to a wedding I would think of using really old beaten up trestle tables for your guests to sit around. Don't cover them up with table cloths .. but possibly use a piece of vintage lace or hessian as a runner down the middle to pretty the look up slightly.
Use old printing blocks and other industrial items as table numbers and centre pieces. This can be a really cost effective way of dressing your tables for your wedding as well ... scour reclamation yards and junk shops for cheap items.

Obviously using an old warehouse or commercial barn with rough brick walls can be a great venue for this look and give a great atmosphere for your wedding. Finding one for a day ceremony as well might be tricky in the UK .. but, as a friend of mine proved, with patience you can apply for a building you want to use for your ceremony to be licensed as a venue from your local council.

You can hang gorgeous old industrial light fittings from beams or use big industrial spotlights on the floor for added atmosphere. Or for a bit of a juxtaposition of styles use chandeliers instead!

Styling Your Wedding With Lace

Following on from the huge success of the relaunch of my English Eccentrics Wedding Stationery range on Tuesday, I wanted to give you some more ideas as to how to use lace in your wedding decor and styling.

I'm a massive fan of vintage lace and vintage style lace .. I have a lace table runner along my dining table. Its why I wanted to incorporate some lace into the English Eccentrics design.

So how else can you incorporate lace into your wedding?

Obviously there's your veil and dress. There is a real re-emergence of traditional lace veils and headpieces which look incredibly beautiful and give a real vintage feel to your wedding.

Use lace to decorate your tables .. add a lace runner like me or a whole tablecloth. If this is too much for you you can always use lace ribbon to tie around napkins or cutlery .. or decorate your chairbacks with lace details.

Moss Green & Lace Wedding Inspiration & Stationery

I want to share with you today a lovely set of Save the Date cards I produced for a fantastic couple Charlotte & Andy .. who I met at the Milton Keynes Vintage Wedding Fair back in February.
I can't wait to share with you the design for their actual invitations which I love! But you'll have to wait until next year I'm afraid for those :) In the meantime they have recently sent out their Save the Date cards.

They were after a pretty vintage style incorporating lace but they didn't want to much pink so it looked overly girly. The main colour theme in the end ended up being a gorgeous 'moss green' colour which works beautifully with the lace, and a small pale pink floral motif completed the look.

I love the idea of gorgeous vintage laces becoming a theme for the wedding with touches of the moss green colour coming in from foliage and flowers and bridesmaids dresses. Here are a few of my inspiration styling ideas below ....

Summer Green & Yellow Wedding Inspiration

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend! Here's hoping for a rain free week so we can all enjoy some sunshine!
On that note I wanted to share with you a Wedding Moodboard I've put together with a distinctly sunny theme, based on the fact I'm currently working on some samples for a lovely couple with a yellow and green colour scheme for their Wedding.

This colour scheme is perfect to brighten up any wedding and, I think, works particularly well with succulent plants mixed in with your bouquet and wedding flowers. Also mix in a little grey, brown & white to stop it looking too flat and like a children's birthday party!

Autumn Inspired Wedding Stationery And Styling Ideas

Well its been a manic week or so here at Knots & Kisses! Apologies for the lack of blog posts but I have now officially moved house and am blogging and making Wedding Stationery from my brand new office in Devon! I'll share photos as soon as I have it more sorted .. but at the moment pictures of my desk surrounded by brown boxes is probably not what you want to see! Although I have managed to plug in my fabulous new bright green retro phone and put up some very pretty floral curtains just to make it feel a little nicer :)

So back to providing all you brides and grooms to be with wedding inspiration and sharing some of my recent stationery designs!
Last week I posted out some stationery I have been working on for a while to a lovely bride who contacted me wanting something autumnal and rustic for her wedding in October.
She also liked the idea of posting something out with no need for an envelope so I came up with the concertina style design below, which folded up and was tied in string ready to send to guests.

On this theme wouldn't it be lovely to have lots of rustic autumnal details included in your wedding .. from blackberries and leaves in bouquets and flower arrangements to twine tied around hessian napkins, it could look just beautiful. Obviously this look lends itself to a barn wedding .. but could look just as gorgeous in some grand stately home or church hall and go full on harvest festival look! I personally think a wedding with pumpkins would be amazing!

Striking Powder Blue & Mushroom Wedding Colours & Matching Stationery

Good morning all! Its the start of a lovely new week hopefully. Bit tired here at Knots & Kisses HQ as we went on a very whistle stop trip to Devon this weekend to view some houses for our move down to the South West. Hopefully we've found 'the one' but I'm not counting my chickens and keeping my fingers firmly crossed for the next couple of days!

Today on the blog I want to share with you an order of my Sketch range of stationery which I posted out to some lovely clients last week for their wedding.
The great thing about the Sketch range is it is so easily adapted and made bespoke to suit your wedding. This Bride loved the bird motif in the range, which normally comes in a mustard yellow colour, but really wanted to adapt it to suit her colour scheme of pale blue. So I changed the text & motif colour to blue for her and paired it with a pale mushroom background. I think it really worked and is a really modern classic colour combination ...

Here's a few more ideas in this colour combination for your wedding ... I think it would look beautiful with a few vintage details, such as books and twine, to go with the rustic feel of the sketch range. However it could look just as beautiful with a crisp white, mushroom and blue feel for a more modern feel.

Classic Cream Lace Bespoke Stationery & Wedding Styling

Wow can't believe its Monday already! The last week has flew past in a complete blur!
Its been very exciting here at Knots & Kisses. I've had lots of gorgeous stationery orders to make .. please note I'm now fully booked till September so please please get your orders in early if you want to book with me ... its heartbreaking having to turn so many orders away because I can't fit you all in :(
The other thing that has made this week so exciting is that the move to Devon, which has been on the cards for a while, is suddenly all systems go! We've had an offer on the flat so we're off down to Devon again house hunting next weekend!

Anyway back to business!
I've recently designed some bespoke wedding menus for a customer who wanted something simple and classic for their wedding incorporating ivory lace. I came up with the two designs below.

As I photographed them against my trusty wicker sewing box it got me to thinking about how a simple classic ivory and lace style can be instantly breathed new life into by using varying shades of browns and woods as a background colour for all that beautiful lace. It makes it stand out more but is still very neutral.

On this thought I've collected a few ideas below for styling for a wedding ... I really love the upcycled chalkboard frame which could have all manner of messages for your guests on! I also adore all that lovely glassware against the dark wood table ... you could pile them up with cheese and cakes for a fantastic dessert table display :)

Vintage Floral & Lace Wedding Stationery & Styling

Its been a busy week here at Knots & Kisses. I've had two large orders of pocketfold style invitations to finish and ship out for clients ... but at least the sun has been shining on my desk :)

One of those pocketfold designs features a vibrant Pink floral on a duck egg blue background and its trimmed with lace and ribbon for a vintage feel. Inside is a matching information card and a vintage looking RSVP postcard .. all ready for the guests to post back to you.

I really loved designing this invite for Ellena & Jonathan, and I've come up with a few styling ideas to match.
I think this invitation is perfect for a Sunny Country Garden wedding and so I've gone with that theme .. adding touches of lace and of course a fabulous retro ice cream van from www.vintagescoops.co.uk !
