Free People Boho Bridal Collection

I was rather excited to hear this week that one of my favourite brands 'Free People' had launched a bridal collection. Full of very reasonably priced dresses perfect for a 'Boho' wedding they are available via their website now http://www.freepeople.co.uk/fp-ever-after-bridal/
My favourite is this 'corsage' dress which is £600... I love the high neck and 'keyhole' detail at the back ...

The Lilian dress is also stunning ...

New Spring 2015 Wedding and Bridal Collection from BHLDN

I'm always very excited when bridal website BHLDN www.bhldn.com launches a new collection and they appear to have really outdone themselves for Spring 2015!
The collection of dresses, separates and accessories has a really ethereal bohemian feel ... with a touch of the Mediterranean and in a gorgeous palette of Blush Pinks and Creams which gives a vintage but modern feel to everything.

(I just adore the dress above!)

There is lots of lace, embellishments and some beautiful fabrics plus some gorgeous matching hair accessories. With shipping to the UK and Ireland being really reasonable its definitely a website to check out either to purchase your dress and accessories or just to browse for inspiration!

Hope that's given you lots to look at over the weekend ... and remember if you are in the Exeter area then pop along for a chat at the Exeter Castle wedding fair over the next couple of days :)

New 2015 Collection Wedding Dresses from So Sassi

I've got some gorgeous new wedding dresses to share with you today!

Multi award-winning wedding gown designer Sassi Holford is delighted to announce the launch of the 2015 Collection of her esprit label, So Sassi. Perfect for the young, modern bride with a sense of fashion and her own style, So Sassi is the creation of a young design team working in a highly creative environment under Sassi’s expert tutelage.

The collection features fresh, spirited dresses that combine exquisite silks and laces with contemporary twists – key hole backs, cut outs, sheer cap sleeves and ballerina length tulle. The dresses are handmade in Sassi’s workrooms in Somerset and the collection retails from £1,100.

“Our young designers understand the exuberance and style of contemporary brides,” says Sassi, “and that really comes across in the collection.  It’s attracted a great deal of interest from both retailers and brides looking for dresses that express that sense of joie de vivre that makes a wedding day so special – and being ‘made in England’ has become a key element.

So many more Bride's are doing this these days ... and as you can see from the fact that Coast's dresses start at £150 ... it's definitely affordable and gives you a bit more freedom whilst your dancing the night away!

Blush, Gold And Baby Blue - Alternatives To The White Wedding Dress

I have to be honest .. I've never been a massive fan of white or very pale ivory wedding dresses! I know that sounds like sacrilege to say given the tradition of these colours for weddings, but honestly I don't think that white is a particularly flattering colour on many people.
If your skin is beautifully dark or tanned then it's easier to pull off but for pasty white skin like mine its definitely a no no!
Most brides opt for ivory instead which is certainly a lot more flattering to most skin tones .. however there are a raft of other options out there and many beautiful 'pale bridal' shades if you don't want to go for full on colour.

One of my favourite U.S. Bridal retailers ( who ship to the UK ) www.bhldn.com have some fantastic dresses currently in gorgeous shades of Blush, Gold and Baby Blue which would make amazing alternatives for your wedding dress. Here are my favourites ...

Wedding Dress Catwalk Collections

This week I've been taking a look at some of the wedding catwalk collections.
There are some gorgeous designs about and a couple of trends I've seen emerging.

Firstly colourfully embellished dresses ... giving a 'folk' look to a wedding dress its a great way of livening up your wedding outfit without going all out for a wedding dress in a alternative block colour ... and it might mean a saving on wedding flowers if you decide the flowers on the dress are enough! :)

My favourite is this dress by Alberta Ferreti

and also this stunning dress by Valentino

I've also seen a lot of very glamorous sequin and metallic dresses about .. especially on the Jenny Packham Catwalk .. great for an elegant city or hotel wedding.

And finally beautiful vintage style simplicity from Pronovias ... how gorgeous is the neckline on this dress!

This week I've been blown away by some gorgeous frothy .. some might say slightly over the top! ... wedding dresses with bucket loads of frills and lace, and so just had to share them on my Weekly Wedding Inspiration!
I'm not normally a fan but I particularly love the back of this Vera Wang dress ...

Luisa Beccaria Dress
Danielle Caprese for Kleinfeld Wedding Dresses

And Finally ... I'm all for people wearing something a bit unusual for their wedding .. this would make you feel just like a mermaid! ...

Gorgeous New Great Value Wedding Dresses!

I'm delighted to share with you today the new collection of wedding dresses from one of my favourite wedding companies 'Kitty & Dulcie' http://www.kittyanddulcie.com/
Kitty & Dulcie's gorgeous vintage inspired dresses are sold only via their online boutique and because of this they are able to keep their prices incredibly low ... none of their dresses are above £400! However, in my opinion, they are spot on in style!

The new range which launched this week is called the 'Got The Love' Collection and features 4 brand new dress designs, a veil and a gorgeous little jacket.
My absolute favourite is the 'Crazy For You' Dress below ... but then I am a sucker for a short style wedding dress!
