Perfectly Pretty Petticoats!

Hello .. firstly an apology for the lack of blog posts last week on the Knots & Kisses blog. As many of you may have seen from my Facebook and twitter posts I was working on some updates to the blog which will be going live to coincide with the new website design launch a week today!

Its going to be another very busy week here at Knots & Kisses as we prepare for the launch. Most of the last two weekends have been flat out with photo shoots for the new ranges I'll be launching and re-shooting all of the existing ranges of wedding stationery, many of which have been updated. I can't wait to share the new photos with you over the coming weeks as we've gone for a bit of a style change and I'm incredibly pleased with the results!

It always frustrates me that in the general high street stores that there is so little choice when it comes to shoes to wear with your wedding dress. A couple of pairs of ivory strappy sandals and a basic court is generally what you get ... but this really have to be your only option.

Today I just had to share with you one of my favourite Wedding Dress Designers .. Claire Pettibone. The current Collection is just so beautiful ... I also adore the styling with the beautiful floral crowns ... its all very pre-Raphaelite ( my favourite period in art history!)
To be honest all of the collections are equally as gorgeous with lots of lace and applique details.

A Second Wedding Dress?

Today I wanted to have a look at the growing trend for brides to have not one but two wedding dresses for their big day! With more and more people wanting to have a really fun party or something different than the norm in the evening on their wedding day, many more brides are considering a 'Reception Dress'.

I personally think if you've got the budget for two dresses its a great idea. Spending the evening whilst you're trying to dance and have a party in a large dress can prove annoying ... and pretty difficult for toilet breaks!
Having a shorter, more casual but still distinctly 'bridal' dress for the evening can be a fantastic option.

To end the week I wanted to share with you some of my favourite options currently out there for your adult bridesmaids.
Whether you're after something funky, retro or vintage in style there's something to suit every budget ... so hopefully I've covered something which will suit your wedding!
