Firstly a little apology for blog posts being so sporadic lately!
Its been pretty mental here at Knots & Kisses lately with lots of huge reception stationery orders to get off to clients in time for their Summer Weddings, loads of samples going out to all of you who have enquired and of course trying to unpack after the move to Devon! Phew!
I'm really hoping that regular scheduled posts get back to normal in July :)
Anyway ... today I wanted to share with you an order of reception stationery which is going out today to a lovely bride getting married in July.
It matches my Bejewelled range of wedding stationery, which can come in either a vintage script font or, as below, with an Art Deco feel.
Hope you like it! If you'd like to see the rest of the Bejewelled range please visit the website http://www.knotsandkisses.co.uk/bejewelled.html

Summer Green & Yellow Wedding Inspiration
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend! Here's hoping for a rain free week so we can all enjoy some sunshine!
On that note I wanted to share with you a Wedding Moodboard I've put together with a distinctly sunny theme, based on the fact I'm currently working on some samples for a lovely couple with a yellow and green colour scheme for their Wedding.
This colour scheme is perfect to brighten up any wedding and, I think, works particularly well with succulent plants mixed in with your bouquet and wedding flowers. Also mix in a little grey, brown & white to stop it looking too flat and like a children's birthday party!

Make Your Bridal Lingerie Work For You!
I'm delighted today to have a guest post from the lovely Tanya at Moonrise Lingerie.
http://www.moonriselingerie.co.uk/
Its not something I've ever thought about or covered on the blog before .. but choosing the lingerie for your wedding is a really important thing that possibly gets looked over by Brides who are just looking for the perfect dress.
Over to Tanya ....
Many brides leave sorting their bridal lingerie out until the last few weeks before they get married thinking that’s when it will fit them best. Of course many ‘brides to be’ are working out, dieting or indeed both to look their best for the big day. The reality is that figures won’t change all that much in 6 – 8 weeks which is about the best time to be getting your bridal underwear.
At least you won’t be left in a big department store choosing some lingerie that is roughly the right colour and sort of fits. Your wedding lingerie is almost as important as the dress itself, it needs to work with the dress, be an absolute comfortable fit and give you that feeling of confidence in the way you look. So it’s best to have your wedding corset, bridal bra set, shapewear or whatever you choose in time for your final dress fitting to make sure they both work well together and make you look stunning.
Give some thought to what you want your wedding underwear to do for your figure and with some shopping around you’ll find the perfect lingerie for your wedding day. Here’s a few of our favourites at Moonrise Lingerie with some hints and tips of what to look out for;
Floral Tapestry Corset
The Floral Tapestry Corset is hugely popular and is clear why. It’s made from a stylish jacquard material and finished with an absolutely gorgeously detailed Venice trim. Fastening at the front with a standard hook and eye fastening, whilst at the rear there is a double tie waist cinching lace up ribbon allowing for greater flexibility in fitting to suit personal taste, giving a wonderfully defined waistline. Strapless in its design and offering excellent support, along with removable and adjustable garters gives you the option of bridal stockings or hold ups. Available in plus size lingerie options with a matching thong a great all rounder and very popular.
Juliette Corset
The Juliet Lace corset although less of the traditional styling it does have some exquisite lace detailing. It gives a nice medium level of support with its underwiring and light boning. Wonderfully romantic with its delicately laced edging finishing and light lace up ribbon tie featuring on both the corset and the matching thong. Available in the more traditional bridal white and with detatchable suspender straps it’s a fantastic choice for brides looking to enjoy a spring/ summer wedding.
Elegant Seamless Bustier
Although designed and best suited to the close figure hugging styles of wedding gown, this seamless bustier will suit many styles of wedding dress. Its moulded cups provide a good level of support for the bust and with sizes going up to 44D it’s a great plus size lingerie option too. The material is very soft and also surprisingly forgiving for the support it provides, a great, comfortable choice.
Jonquil Bridal Bra Set
This Jonquil Bridal bra set complete with matching thong and suspender belt is truly beautiful with its gorgeous detailing and decoration. The bra itself is a fabulous balconette style with delicately decorated cup edges with foliage embroidery and finished with Swarovski Crystals to add that bit of sparkle. It’s a great supporting bra with the boning in the wings and a silicone strap beneath the bust to provide a wonderful uplifting shape. The straps are removable if the gown style requires it, available in ivory, it’s a great lingerie set for the wedding day.
Superior Derriere Body Shaper
More and more modern brides are taking to wearing bridal body shapers in some form or another as their wedding day underwear option and then deciding to choose something a little more sexy and eye catching for the all important wedding night. This superior derriere shaper is a great little number for lightly shaping the waistline and tummy area whilst beautifully defining the derriere. Newly available in ivory especially for brides, it’s also finished with a fabulous lace overlay pattern, a great choice if no bust support is required and the dress is close fitting. If it works for the red carpet, then it’ll definitely work for the wedding march!
Accessories.
It’s all too easy to let the finer details slip by the wayside, especially in the last few weeks before the wedding day itself, but don’t forget the finishing touches to your wedding lingerie ensemble! Whether your preference is hold ups or a nice pair of lace top stocking, you ought to have a spare pair in case of any nicks or ladders.
These wedding bell stockings are the perfect finish for the wedding day outfit. They have a lace top floral pattern on the top band and feature an exquisite design down the side of the leg with small diamantes to add that extra bit of sparkle.
Specialists in bridal lingerie and wedding day underwear, many of pieces feature low back, deep décolleté, strapless or seamless design features to complement the wedding gown and give the comfort and confidence that only the bride deserves on her wedding day. Feel free to get in touch with us at Moonrise Lingerie at enquiries@moonriselingerie.co.uk or give us a call 01501 470734 we’d be happy to help you find your perfect wedding lingerie.

This is one of my favourites, it’s quite a new addition to this years range and it’s a great bridal bustier for the wedding day or night, and it’s strapless too, so will suit many style of wedding dress. The lightly padded underwiring gives medium support to empahsise and wonderfully define your figure whilst the lace overlay and ruffled lace hemline makes for a fantastically stylish looking outfit. The back has stretch panelling with a hook and eye closure. Finish the look off with matching thong and some lace top stockings and you’re sure to create a jaw dropping reaction that won’t be forgotten.

Sketch Range - A Bespoke Service For Wedding Stationery
Hope you all enjoyed the fabulous Retro Living Room post on Monday ... I wish I was having a party just so I could hire one!
Today I wanted to look again at my Sketch range of Wedding Stationery.
Since its launch last year Sketch has proved incredibly popular .. not only for its modern typography with rustic touches, but also because it's so very easy to adapt and change to suit any wedding!
I am regularly changing the card colours used to a bespoke colour to suit a clients colour scheme ... so far this year I've done the range in a pale blue, a deep purple and a lavender colour.
Also I am more than happy to change the motif used at the top of the invitation to something bespoke designed for your wedding! As I hand draw all the motifs before using them on the stationery .. really anything goes.
Here are a few of the different motifs I have done for clients this year.

Create A Vintage Chill Out Area For Your Wedding Guests!
Its been a busy weekend at Knots & Kisses and gearing up to be an even busier week with two huge reception stationery orders to create and get out to lovely couples in time for their big day. They are also two totally different styles which is nice ... one a vintage floral and rustic twine look, and the other a striking black and ivory Art Deco theme. I'll hopefully be able to show you all the pictures in July once the clients have got married :)
On to today and I want to share with you an amazing concept for styling your wedding which was introduced to me by Helen Ruff of the lovely www.doilydays.co.uk .
They have recently introduced a 'Styled Living Room Set' which is available to hire from them for your wedding!
The 1970s living room will be transported and completely set up at your venue. A great chillout area and perfect backdrop for photos. The set includes furniture and authentic props such as drinks cabinet, fake fruit, kitsch ornaments, retro jigsaw, old magazines, plants etc.

Supplier Spotlight - Fantastic Wedding Planning
Today I'm delighted to introduce to you on the Friday Supplier Spotlight a lovely lady called Val Mattinson who also happens to be a fantastic Wedding Planner! I've asked Val to tell us a little bit more about herself and her company Benessamy Events www.benessamy.co.uk
How I Got Started
I launched Benessamy Events in 2011 after a career in the public sector in legal and corporate affairs.
I guess I got “the bug” for organising events when I worked in Chief Executive’s Office at Nottingham City Council and then became the Head of External Affairs. In this role I was responsible for the planning and co-ordination of ministerial and other special visits to Nottingham. I stayed in that role for three years before taking up the position of Director of Corporate and External Affairs at New College Nottingham (NCN) where my responsibilities included PR, communications and marketing.
I have enjoyed organising many special occasion events over the years but I think that the one which helped me to realise that it was time to put my passion, organisation (and list making!) skills into business was my brother and sister in law’s wedding in Barbados a few years ago. My initial curiosity and interest in the detail of their plans turned into the need to literally roll my sleeves up (or kicking off my flipflops!) and assisting in the on the day co-ordination to ensure that their dream wedding ran smoothly and in accordance with their plans. I loved every minute of it!
In 2010 I left NCN to set up Benessamy Events – The name ‘Benessamy’ is a combination of the names of my children and daily inspiration, Ben and Jessamy.
Services Offered by Benessamy
Many of the services we offer are bespoke and as such are priced according to the scale and size of a client's wedding or special event. USP
I think that the skills that I’ve developed as a lawyer – organisation, tactfulness, diplomacy, negotiation and attention to detail are incredibly useful to my wedding and events clients.

Autumn Inspired Wedding Stationery And Styling Ideas
Well its been a manic week or so here at Knots & Kisses! Apologies for the lack of blog posts but I have now officially moved house and am blogging and making Wedding Stationery from my brand new office in Devon! I'll share photos as soon as I have it more sorted .. but at the moment pictures of my desk surrounded by brown boxes is probably not what you want to see! Although I have managed to plug in my fabulous new bright green retro phone and put up some very pretty floral curtains just to make it feel a little nicer :)
So back to providing all you brides and grooms to be with wedding inspiration and sharing some of my recent stationery designs!
Last week I posted out some stationery I have been working on for a while to a lovely bride who contacted me wanting something autumnal and rustic for her wedding in October.
She also liked the idea of posting something out with no need for an envelope so I came up with the concertina style design below, which folded up and was tied in string ready to send to guests.

On this theme wouldn't it be lovely to have lots of rustic autumnal details included in your wedding .. from blackberries and leaves in bouquets and flower arrangements to twine tied around hessian napkins, it could look just beautiful. Obviously this look lends itself to a barn wedding .. but could look just as gorgeous in some grand stately home or church hall and go full on harvest festival look! I personally think a wedding with pumpkins would be amazing!

A Storybook Wedding Table Plan
Hope you're all having a fabulous bank holiday weekend and are in some way enjoying the Jubilee celebrations!
Firstly a quick apology for the erratic blog posting lately! We started moving stuff down to Devon this weekend and are moving properly on the 9th so things at Knots & Kisses HQ are a little crazy at the moment. I have a few more orders to finish off this week and then I'll be taking 4 days off from Thursday to pack up the business and move to our new house in Okehampton :)
Today I wanted to share with you the table plan I created for a lovely couple Rachel & Ben who got married yesterday ... congratulations guys!
They ordered my Storybook range http://www.knotsandkisses.co.uk/storybook.html for their wedding stationery and also ordered matching reception stationery including a printed table plan. Table plans aren't currently on the website and are priced on a bespoke basis so please get in touch and email me at info@knotsandkisses.co.uk if you would like me to create a table plan for your wedding reception.
