Purple Wedding Styling .. Part Two !

Today I'm following on with the purple wedding styling ideas blog on Monday. On Monday I looked at deep purples and plums for your wedding .. today I'm concentrating on the softer end of the purple spectrum, with shades of Lavender and Heather.

I love this colour combination as it is what I used to style my sister's wedding back in 2005. It looks beautiful with a country style wedding, with lots of white bunting and table linen. Back then I handpainted pebbles with peoples names on as placecards and incorporated lots of corn, lavender and thistles into the stationery.
You can now get fantastic seed packets as favours to go with this theme and lavender plants look great in pots as centre pieces on long trestle tables in barns or marquees.

When I styled my sister's wedding we also wrapped twine and lavender round napkins, very similar to this idea from Sweet Dream Events below. Its such a great value and simple idea for making your place settings look amazing. Lavender can also quite easily be incorporated into favours and cupcakes.
