Nautical Coastal Wedding Ideas

I love a bit of Nautical here at Knots & Kisses! Recently I've been designing some stationery with a Nautical twist so wanted to share some ideas I'd found to inspire you if you are having a nautical or coastal wedding.
I love the combination of navy and white ... its really classic .. and with the addition of the odd anchor makes a really lovely wedding theme.

Seaside and Beach Wedding Venues in the South West

Living in Devon, even though I live about as fair inland as you can get on the edge of Dartmoor, I'm never more than about 30-40 minutes drive from a stunning beach or coastal location ... and some even more stunning coastal wedding venues!
Devon and Cornwall has some amazing places for you to get married if you are looking for a beach or seaside wedding ... here are just some of my favourites! ...

The Scarlet

The Scarlet Hotel is a gorgeous intimate venue for weddings of up to 78 people based in Mawgan Porth near Newquay in Cornwall. I've recently had one of my couples get married there and the photos were stunning! http://www.scarlethotel.co.uk/meet-celebrate/weddings/

Tunnels Beaches

Tunnels Beaches is a North Devon based wedding venue near Ilfracombe. You can have a marriage ceremony within a thatched gazebo overlooking the sea! http://www.tunnelsbeaches.co.uk/weddings.html

Polhawn Fort

Polhawn Fort is a stunning historical wedding venue with amazing coastal views based on the Cornwall / Devon border in Whitsand Bay, near Mount Edgcumbe, round the corner from Plymouth.
Getting married in a historic Napoleonic fort would definitely be unique!

Seaside & Chevrons! A Gorgeous Styled Shoot

I was delighted recently to be asked to provide stationery for a shoot being organised by the lovely Elle at Inspire Hire http://www.inspire-hire.co.uk/ who I met earlier in the year whilst exhibiting at the Fabulous Wedding Festival in Devon.
The shoot really took advantage of the beautiful scenery and venues on the doorstep in Cornwall and the theme was a beautifully modern mix of blues, pinks and chevron motifs.

The stationery I designed picked up on the Chevron theme .. adding a pretty pink calligraphy style writing and rounded corners.
I absolutely loved how Elle styled the stationery with rope and a beautiful rustic box for the escort cards. These make a great alternative to a table plan for your guests .. with them just finding their name on a card and it tells them which table they are on.

The venue was the beautiful Rosevine in Cornwall http://www.rosevine.co.uk/ ... a truly stunning backdrop for the shoot .. especially with the beautiful weather!

The shoot was featured in this months issue of the fabulous Wed Magazine - Cornwall Issue ... which if you can get hold of it .. is the most beautiful format for a wedding magazine.
