Wedding Gifts & Hairstyles From Guest Blogger Lauren

Good morning peeps, thankyou so much for popping over to the lovely Knots and Kisses blog to read my guest post. For those of you who may be 'new' readers, my name is Lauren and I am founder of Ladyamy Bespoke Wedding Design, which is a Wedding Planning business based in the Cotswolds and Gloucestershire. You will catch me, here on the Knots and Kisses blog every Wednesday, where I will be sharing with you all my wedding rambles, gossip, wedding tips and advice, special offers, informatiom on local venues and suppliers which I love and all the latest vintagy treasures which I have found.

Have you all enjoyed your week and had a lovely weekend? I know its last week now (how time flys) but how beautiful did Kate Moss look on Friday, utterly gorgeous... I actually couldn't fault anything about her dress and accessories. Her veil was sensational and was a perfect 'pretty' compliment to her very elegant and sparkly dress. She really did look like a 'princess' on her wedding day, without all the fluff.. The embelishment on her dress and all the detailsing ouzed character and elegance. If I'm honet, I'm not usually a huge veil fan. I often prefer and love indavidual and more personal hair accessories, (Ladyamy Loves Flo and Percy) however the right veil in the right pace looks fab and Kate nailed her veil choice. Loads of layers, lace and details.. GORGEOUS!!

I was uber busy during the weekend with meetings / consultations and Bridal Hair.. I actually did Ali Chapmans hair last Saturday evening, for a School Ball. Ali owns Cotswolds Bride in Gloucestershire. She is a beautiful lady, who is very kind and utterly passionate about providing simply the most perfect and luxurious service to Bride and Grooms before their big day, making sure every element is special and relaxed. Below is a picture of Ali and her dashing hubby on Saturday night, don't they look fab? I did a very relxed and soft 'Hair Up'. A low side pony, with light curls and waves with a side parting.

Incase you are wondering, why on earth I would be doing bridal hair and hair ups at the weekend, its beacause... I am a Wedding Planner but also a Bridal Hair Specialist, (I was a qualified Senior Stylist at Toni and Guy, also a Wedding Hair Specialist) to see my work please take a look at my website

http://www.ladyamyweddingdesign.co.uk/index.htm I specialise in beautiful bespoke weddings inspired by vintage chic and boho beauty, weddings with a more country garden and natural feel to them.

Ladyamy weddings are designed with style and executed with true passion, panache and professionalism.

Anyway, on todays guest post I am writing about Wedding gifts..I am talking about traditions, ideas and that little something special.

t is tradition that wedding gifts are for the Bride and Grooms first home together, so 'back in the day' they would be given things like a toaster / a very elegant and expensive cutlery set / washing machines or simply vouchers for department stores and home stores. These days the gifts do tend to be a little more personal and unique. Especially as the modern day couple have usually lived with each other for at least 18months before their big day, so they do not need anything specific for their 'new' or first home. They may however, require a little financial help towards their honeymoon.. or wish to donate money to a local charity and these details you will often find on your invitation.

I am going to share with you a few of suppliers and online shops which I LOVE!! they equaly provide just delightful and bespoke gift ideas, which is much more 'me' and says loads about the weddings I plan and the types of bride I plan for...
I really do believe your wedding day is such a special and awesome day, that a gift should be very personal rather than just something for the sake of it.. I much perfer recieveing gifts when thought and love has gone into it, even if that means it cost less money, its overall sentamental value is alot greater then...

So here is the first of a carefully selected few. Enjoy!!
