Tartan Wedding Inspiration

I definitely go through times of being completely obsessed with a particular trend or design ... and at the moment its tartan! Its probably because Christmas is approaching which always makes me want to cosy up with a mug of hot chocolate under a tartan blanket, but its also as there is lots of tartan in the stores with clothes and interiors at the moment.
I added a splash of tartan to my Vintage Christmas range of wedding stationery http://www.knotsandkisses.co.uk/vintagechristmasweddingstationery.html and its a lovely subtle touch for a winter wedding.

So I thought I would look at some more ideas to incorporate tartan into your wedding on the blog today.

Obviously there are many different colours and patterns of tartan but I think my favourite is a red based tartan with a rustic feel ...

I also love a green and blue tartan though which can look incredibly elegant mixed with lots of crisp white linen and thistles ...

I hope that's given you a few ideas as to how to incorporate tartan into your wedding ... If you would like Tartan themed stationery to match then I have used tartan in these invitations before so just get in touch at info@knotsandkisses.co.uk if you would like a similar design.

Winter Wedding Stationery & Inspiration

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend ... I was doing more work on my stand for the 'Fabulous Wedding Festival' which I'll be exhibiting at this Saturday at Muddifords Court in Devon ... I look forward to meeting some of you in person!

Today I wanted to share with you a version of my Sketch range of stationery which I created for a lovely couple recently who are getting married in Finland next year! The Bride is Finnish and rather than one of the standard motifs which come with the Sketch range wanted a snowflake motif to match their Winter Wedding theme, and also a darker grey background to match the beautiful bridesmaids dresses she had chosen.

To go with this beautiful winter wedding theme I've created a moodboard full of lots of ideas for a very subtle Winter Wedding theme. Its very easy with Winter or Christmas themes to go a bit overboard and it become a bit tacky but by adding in subtle shades of grey and taupe it gives the whole thing a much more sophisticated look. I particularly love the vaguely snowflake looking headband and the stunningly glamorous dress from BHLDN.

Relaunching My English Eccentrics Range of Wedding Stationery!

Today I'm delighted to relaunch my English Eccentrics range of Wedding Stationery.
I designed the range at the beginning of 2011 and it was instantly popular but I felt it was due for a bit of a revamp! You can find the full range now available on the Knots & Kisses website http://knotsandkisses.co.uk .

The range is still essentially inspired by exactly the same things as before ... my love of Victoriana, Lace, Vintage Circus flyers and Tweed .. giving the range a fantastic country feel, and is perfect for Autumn and Winter Weddings with lots of fur details, or just as easily a fun Festival style wedding at any time of year!

The Day Invitation is now a concertina style, with a colourful typography interior, and on the outside wrapped in a tweed and lace band with a diamante detail.
You can also buy the range as a Day Invitation Pack, including a Information Card and RSVP Postcard, and each invitation comes in its own special box style envelope, wrapped in brown paper and tied with matching purple ribbon. They are then pre-addressed to your guests ... already for you to just pop a stamp on and put in the post!

The evening invitation is similarly decorated with tweed effect and lace but in a flat postcard style and a matching brown kraft envelope.

Here are a few Wedding Styling Ideas that I have come up with to match the range and give you a few ideas for your wedding.
